Change SMS Opt-In Disclaimer

This topic outlines the steps to change the SMS opt-in disclaimer pop-up that appears when selecting the SMS Verify check box in contact methods.

This task requires access to the SMS Manager section on the Setup area. Some HTML knowledge may be needed to format the HTML message text in a specific way, but not required.
The the default message appears on the pop-up when selecting the SMS Verify check box in contact methods.

To change the default SMS opt-in language navigate to: Setup > SMS Manager

  1. Go to the SMS Opt-In Disclaimer section.
  2. In SMS Disclaimer Override Message, use the text box to revise the default pop-up message. When blank, or malformed the system will revert to the default message.

    Tip: To indicate the logged in user's home institution rather than the name of the application in the pop-up message, type {0} as shown in the sample message.
  3. Select Save.
